RN-Med/Surg at Buchanan County Health Center – Independence, Iowa

The Registered Nurse assumes responsibility and accountability for the delivery of patient care on the Med/Surg unit in accordance with departmental and organizational policies and procedures. The nurse demonstrates ability to make clinical judgments in an effective and efficient manner with supervision. The nurse demonstrates critical thinking and performance ability in the coordination of patient care. Consistently performs according to nursing standards and is accountable in managing patient care and assisting others in the management of patient care.

American Heart Association Basic Life Support required.

ACLS & PALS certification required

One year prior professional nursing experience preferred.

Must have the ability to demonstrate self-confidence and positive attitude toward self and others. Maintains commitment and enthusiasm to goal achievement.

Excellent team player and communication skills required.
