Role Overview
We are hiring multiple Safety / EHS Field Support professionals to support a large-scale data center construction project in Sparks, NV. This role is critical to maintaining a strong safety presence in the field. You will work directly under the Safety/EHS Manager to ensure daily safety compliance, support field teams, and proactively identify and mitigate risks across active construction areas.
This is a highly visible, field-driven role ideal for someone who thrives being onsite, engaging with crews, and driving safe work practices in real time.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a constant presence in the field, monitoring active work areas
- Identify unsafe behaviors/conditions and intervene immediately
- Ensure compliance with site safety rules, OSHA standards, and client requirements
- Participate in and review: PTPs (Pre-Task Plans), JSAs (Job Safety Analyses), High Hazard Activities (HHC)
- Verify crews understand scope, hazards, and mitigation strategies before work begins
- Support execution of the site-specific Safety Plan
- Assist with toolbox talks and daily safety briefings
- Reinforce safety expectations with subcontractors and craft workers
- Conduct daily walkdowns and safety inspections
- Document findings and escalate issues to Safety Manager
- Track and follow up on corrective actions
- Assist in incident reporting and documentation
- Support investigations and gather field-level information
- Help ensure immediate corrective actions are implemented
- Monitor and enforce proper PPE usage
- Assist with PPE distribution and compliance tracking
- Ensure equipment and safety gear are being used correctly
- Assist with new hire orientations and onboarding
- Help ensure all workers are properly trained and cleared before entering site
- Maintain accurate records of:
- Safety observations
- Daily reports
- Training attendance
- Support submission of documentation to site leadership
- 5–8+ years of construction safety experience
- Experience in: Data centers (preferred), OR large-scale commercial / industrial construction
- Strong working knowledge of OSHA 29 CFR 1926
- Ability to confidently engage with field crews and enforce safety standards
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-activity jobsite
