About the Role:

The Accounting Manager will oversee and manage the full spectrum of accounting operations to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with regulatory standards. This role is pivotal in maintaining the integrity of the company’s financial data through meticulous bank reconciliations, general ledger management, and balance sheet oversight. The successful candidate will lead the accounting team in executing full cycle accounting processes, including job costing and cost accounting, to support strategic business decisions. They will collaborate cross-functionally to implement and optimize accounting systems that enhance efficiency and accuracy. Ultimately, the Accounting Manager will provide insightful financial analysis and reporting that drive operational excellence and support the company’s financial health and growth objectives.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including supervisory responsibilities.
• Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Proficiency in accounting software and systems relevant to full cycle accounting and job costing.
• Demonstrated experience with bank reconciliations, general ledger management, and balance sheet preparation.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation.
• Experience in cost accounting within a manufacturing or construction environment.
• Advanced proficiency with ERP systems and financial reporting tools.
• Strong analytical skills with experience in financial forecasting and budgeting.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex financial information clearly.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee daily accounting operations including general ledger, accounts payable and receivable, and bank reconciliations.
• Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements and balance sheets to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting principles.
• Lead the full cycle accounting process from journal entries to month-end and year-end close activities.
• Implement and maintain job costing and cost accounting procedures to accurately track project expenses and profitability.
• Supervise and mentor accounting staff, providing guidance and training to enhance team performance and professional development.
• Collaborate with internal departments and external auditors to ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
• Develop and improve accounting systems and processes to increase efficiency and data integrity.
