Job Description

Purpose:

Improvement of abnormal machine status and recovering status of machine used for a long time to original condition with mechanical engineering skill

Key Responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned as needed):

  • Analyze machine breakdown and repairs.
  • Make the schedule for proactive training to correct issues.
  • Provide training on specific equipment
  • Create manuals and procedures for repairing equipment
  • Work with vendors, locate new vendors and negotiate price
  • Work with production engineer to study and maintain new mechanism of equipment
  • Perform modifications to existing mechanical structures as necessary to improve quality and throughput.
  • Maintain PM systems and modify process as necessary.
  • Maintain records relating to maintenance work orders.
  • Design and implement machine to upgrade efficiency.
  • Support setup and start-up for new machinery
  • Manage project to upgrade machinery capacity and building expansion.
  • Train the maintenance technicians on machine mechanisms and repair skills.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

  • 4-year degree majored in mechanical engineering or over 10-year experience in industrial manufacturing company.
  • Mechanical engineer with demonstrated qualifications in industrial field preferably.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Engineering skill for precise assembly and machine adjustment
  • Knowledge of Fluid Mechanics related to pneumatic and hydraulic systems
  • Troubleshooting ability of machine and advanced proficiency in handling equipment and machine parts
  • Strong communication skills
  • Training and coaching skills
  • Teamwork skills
  • Results oriented

Legal Requirements:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age due to federal labor law requirements.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Supervisory Responsibility: None

Working Conditions:

  • Frequent manufacturing floor and office setting work.
  • Frequent exposure to noise and moving machinery.
  • Frequent exposure to chemicals and energized equipment.
  • Frequent exposure to slipper surfaces and occasional exposure to uneven surfaces.
  • Constant requirement of PPE use.

Physical Requirements:

  • Frequent use of hand tools, ladders, and powered industrial vehicles.
  • Occasional use of computer and office equipment.
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, twisting, reaching, and occasional sitting.
  • Occasional lifting up to 20 lbs.

Remote Work: This position is not eligible for hybrid or remote work
