Job Description
Maintenance Generalist

Work Location: Texas Health Arlington Memorial, 800 West Randol Mill Rd., Arlington, TX 76012
Work Hours: Full-Time; Day Shift

Qualifications
Here's What You Need:
Education
• High School Diploma or Equivalent Individuals hired into the position prior to January 1, 2003, will be grandfathered with existing education is Required.
Experience
• 1 year of Maintenance experience in a commercial or industrial environment is required.
• 1 year of experience in a healthcare environment preferred.
Licenses and Certifications
• DL - Driver's License upon hire Required.
Skills
• Proficient in the use of computerized systems for all aspects of job performance.
• Ability to perform basic building maintenance functions to include painting and general repairs.
• Working knowledge of basic hand/ power tool operation.
• The ability to recognize and solve practical problems or issues.
• Ability to communicate maintenance problems to hospital departments and departmental supervisors.
• Ability to work in extreme temperatures.
• Ability to work unsupervised and in teams.
• Excellent written, verbal, and listening skills.
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays.
What You Will Do:
Provide basic building repair and maintenance support including, but not limited to, general mechanical repairs, painting, electrical, plumbing, customer requests, grounds, and the like utilizing the computerized maintenance management system.
Participate in hospital and departmental safety programs, education opportunities, and related training.
