Job Title: Line Cook (Fine Dining)
Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detailoriented Line Cook to join our finedining kitchen team. This role is ideal for a cook with 12 years of experience in upscale or finedining environments who is eager to refine technique, execute with precision, and contribute to a polished, servicedriven kitchen. The Line Cook will support daily service through disciplined station setup, thoughtful execution, and a commitment to quality and consistency.
Experience in a country club or memberfocused dining environment is a plus.
Essential Functions
- Prepare and execute menu items with precision, consistency, and attention to presentation
- Set up, organize, and break down stations according to finedining standards
- Follow recipes, portioning, and preparation guidelines established by the culinary team
- Ensure all food is cooked to proper temperatures and plated to specification
- Execute service with a strong sense of timing, professionalism, and attention to detail
- Perform prep tasks including knife work, portioning, and mise en place to support service
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workstation at all times
- Adhere strictly to food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness standards
- Communicate clearly and professionally with chefs and kitchen teammates during service
- Monitor product quality and notify leadership of any issues or shortages
- Support other stations and kitchen functions as needed
- Complete additional duties as assigned by the Chef or Kitchen Manager
Qualifications
- 12 years of line cook experience in an upscale or finedining restaurant
- Country club or memberbased dining experience a plus
- Foundational knowledge of cooking techniques, knife skills, and kitchen equipment
- Strong attention to detail and pride in presentation and execution
- Ability to work calmly and efficiently in a refined, fastpaced service environment
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Desire to learn, grow, and develop within a professional kitchen
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
Physical Requirements
- Stand and walk for extended periods during shifts
- Lift and carry objects up to 50 lbs, including food trays, pots, and supplies
- Perform repetitive motions such as chopping, stirring, and plating
- Work in a hot, fastpaced kitchen environment near ovens, ranges, and grills
- Maintain physical stamina to support service demands and longer shifts
