As an Apprentice, your primary responsibility will be supporting daily warehouse operations while building the technical knowledge and skills needed to become a Water Treatment Technician. The warehouse is where you'll develop a strong foundation in our equipment, systems, and processes before transitioning into more independent field work.

Your responsibilities will include:

Warehouse Operations & Equipment Preparation (Primary Focus):Learn how water treatment equipment is built, serviced, and prepared for installation.Assemble, inspect, and test equipment prior to installation.Organize and maintain warehouse inventory, tools, and equipment.Prepare materials and equipment for upcoming technician jobs.Learn inventory management, receiving shipments, stocking materials, and ordering equipment and supplies.Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment.Field Training with Senior Technicians:Assist experienced technicians with the installation, maintenance, inspection, and repair of water softeners, reverse osmosis (RO) systems, and other water treatment equipment.Observe and learn proper troubleshooting techniques and service procedures while assisting on customer job sites.Routine Service & Maintenance:Replace filters and complete scheduled preventative maintenance.Assist with equipment inspections and service calls.Water Quality Testing:Learn to collect and test water samples using industry testing equipment.Record results accurately and assist in evaluating water quality.Tools & Equipment:Learn the safe operation and maintenance of hand tools, power tools, plumbing equipment, and testing instruments.Documentation:Complete service reports, maintenance records, inventory logs, and other required documentation accurately.Customer Service:Communicate professionally with customers while assisting technicians on service calls.Represent Fontus Water Treatment with professionalism and respect.Safety & Organization:Follow all company safety procedures, including proper chemical handling and PPE requirements.Help maintain clean, organized company vehicles, tools, workspaces, and the warehouse.What We're Looking ForRequired QualificationsValid driver's license with an insurable driving recordReliable transportation and excellent attendancePositive attitude, professional appearance, and strong work ethicDesire to learn a skilled trade and grow within the companyCommitment to workplace safetyAbility to pass a background check and pre-employment drug screeningBasic mechanical aptitude and familiarity with hand toolsAbility to lift 50–100 pounds and perform physical work including standing, bending, climbing, and working outdoors in varying weather conditionsStrong attention to detail and ability to accurately record informationGood problem-solving skillsAbility to follow instructions and work independently after trainingPreferred QualificationsPrevious experience with water treatment systemsPlumbing, HVAC, electrical, maintenance, or other mechanical trade experienceTrade school or vocational trainingWhy Our Team Loves Working Here
