Treatment Coordinator in Powell, Ohio at Scioto Smile Studio Co

We are looking for a friendly, organized, and motivated Treatment Coordinator to join our dental team. This position plays a key role in helping patients understand their treatment needs, insurance benefits, and financial options while creating a positive patient experience from start to finish.

The ideal candidate has strong communication skills, dental office experience, and knowledge of dental insurance verification and treatment presentation.

• Present treatment plans and explain recommended dental procedures to patients
• Verify dental insurance eligibility, benefits, frequencies, limitations, and remaining maximums
• Provide accurate treatment estimates and review financial arrangements with patients
• Submit and follow up on pre-authorizations and insurance claims when needed
• Coordinate scheduling for treatment appointments
• Answer patient questions regarding insurance coverage, financing, and treatment recommendations
• Maintain accurate patient records and insurance information in practice management software
• Follow up with unscheduled treatment and outstanding balances
• Work closely with doctors and clinical staff to ensure smooth patient flow and case acceptance
• Deliver exceptional customer service and build strong patient relationships

• Previous dental front office or treatment coordinator experience preferred
• Knowledge of dental insurance plans, claims, and benefit breakdowns
• Familiarity with dental terminology and CDT codes
• Experience with Open Dental preferred
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Professional, positive, and compassionate attitude
• Multitasking and organizational abilities
• Ability to discuss finances confidently and professionally

• Experience increasing treatment acceptance
• Strong understanding of PPO insurance plans
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced team environment
