This is an exciting opportunity for a relationship-driven fundraising professional to help shape and grow a dynamic donor engagement pipeline within a mission-focused healthcare and academic environment. In this role, you will cultivate meaningful connections with mid-level donors, helping strengthen philanthropic support through personalized stewardship and strategic engagement. You will serve as a key bridge between annual giving and major gift development, identifying donor potential and creating impactful donor experiences that inspire long-term commitment. The position combines frontline relationship management with strategic content and pipeline support, offering a unique balance of donor-facing interaction and operational collaboration. - Manage and cultivate a portfolio of mid-level donors contributing between $1,000 and $4,999 annually, focusing on donor retention, engagement, and upgrade opportunities.
- Develop personalized outreach strategies through email, phone calls, handwritten notes, virtual meetings, and in-person interactions to strengthen donor relationships.
- Identify donor interests, motivations, and philanthropic potential while supporting qualification and referral processes for higher-level giving opportunities.
- Collaborate with fundraising and donor relations teams to align engagement strategies, stewardship efforts, and pipeline development initiatives.
- Support donor cultivation and stewardship events, including donor appreciation activities, site visits, and engagement opportunities.
- Contribute to prospect identification efforts by evaluating referrals, lapsed donor pools, grateful patient programs, and event participants.
- Utilize donor management systems to maintain accurate records, track engagement activity, and monitor portfolio performance metrics.
- Develop and execute stewardship plans that connect donors to meaningful stories, funding priorities, and organizational impact.
- Assist with the creation of donor-facing communications, impact updates, stewardship letters, and engagement content.
- Maintain and organize donor story resources to support fundraising communications and strengthen donor engagement across teams.
- Ensure all donor interactions and records are handled professionally and in compliance with confidentiality and data protection standards.
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced education in communications, business, marketing, philanthropy, or related fields is preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in fundraising, donor relations, annual giving, nonprofit development, or related areas.
- Experience managing donor portfolios and building relationships through strategic stewardship and engagement efforts.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to create personalized donor communications and compelling impact narratives.
- Proficiency with CRM or donor management systems such as Affinaquest or equivalent platforms.
- Demonstrated ability to identify donor potential, support pipeline development, and collaborate across fundraising teams.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.
- Experience supporting mid-level giving, grateful patient fundraising, donor qualification, or affinity-based engagement initiatives is highly valued.
- Knowledge of fundraising best practices, donor stewardship principles, and relationship management strategies.
- Ability to analyze donor interests and connect them with mission-aligned opportunities and stories.
- Collaborative mindset, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to relationship-building and problem-solving.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- CFRE certification or active pursuit of certification is considered a plus.
