At Live On Nebraska, every day presents an opportunity to make a profound difference. We're looking for a passionate and skilled Clinical Educator to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will collaborate closely with the Organ Team to design, deliver, and enhance training programs that directly improve donor care and organ donation outcomes.
What You’ll Do:
- Develop & Deliver Training: Create engaging training materials, including presentations, hands-on exercises, and simulation training, focusing on critical care and organ donation procedures.
- Hands-On Teaching: Conduct on-site training sessions, guiding clinical staff through real-world procedures and protocols.
- Simulation & Classroom Learning: Facilitate realistic simulation scenarios and classroom sessions covering patient care, organ donation processes, and ethical considerations.
- Competency Evaluation: Implement assessments to evaluate staff knowledge and skills, providing constructive feedback and support for continuous improvement.
- Staff Development: Mentor and support clinical coordinators, ensuring seamless transitions from orientation to independence, and providing ongoing education as protocols change.
- Stay Current: Incorporate the latest advancements in organ donation and transplant medicine into your training programs, ensuring the highest standards of care.
Skills & Abilities:
- Ability to thrive in an fast-paced, high-stress environment.
- Excellent time management, critical thinking, and communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively teach and mentor.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with EMR systems (Epic and/or Cerner).
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Requirements:
- Must be a Licensed Registered Nurse or Respiratory Therapist.
- Experience in critical care or emergency care preferred.
- Prior background in education and with building/administering training programs.
- Ability to maintain ACLS, PALS, and BLS certifications.
- CPTC certification preferred but not required.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel as needed.
