Job Description
Job Summary: This is a direct labor role within the designated value stream(s) that also supports the Value Stream Manager in day-to-day activities of co-workers, special projects and trouble-shoot minor equipment issues. The individual will be tasked with audits of ERP transactions, Inventory transactions, quality checks, and other activities. This individual is the subject matter expert and designated trainer for the value stream(s), interacts professionally and fosters teamwork between value stream(s). An approachable, supportive demeanor is needed.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Ensure the overall cleanliness and safety of the immediate work area, as well as surrounding areas.
- Effective performance requires a working knowledge of jobs and workflow in your assigned value stream(s)
- Detail orientation, eye and hand coordination, mechanical ability
- Thorough understanding and set up ability for equipment and tools throughout the assigned value stream(s)
- Blueprint, Control Plan, Work Instruction reading
- Supports troubleshooting assigned equipment.
- May be asked to complete Purchase Requisitions for value stream(s) consumables
- Knowledge of production processes and production flow
- Load management – supports job assignment flow through area.
- Must be able to work from job ticket, manuals, or verbal instructions.
- Fill in for absent plant personnel or where the workload indicates to perform various production process steps including special projects requiring independent action
- Lead training and cross training of employees
- Keep work area in a clean and orderly condition
- Notify Manager concerning when help is needed
- Use appropriate tools and equipment necessary to perform the job
- Keep GEMBA boards updated and present during daily GEMBA walk.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
- No disciplinary or time and attendance responsibilities are required of this position
- Will be asked to coach employees on activities that are not being performed adequately/correctly and engage the VSM or Production Supervisor if the issues continue
- Will be asked to provide input to VSM or Production Supervisor as it relates to performance reviews

Skills:
- Blueprint reading
- Basic math skills
- Working knowledge of Epicor.
- Advanced inspection experience
- Setup experience specific to value stream(s) or equipment
- Ability to assist in troubleshooting equipment.
- Appropriate communication skills (Read, Write, Speak, Listen)
