Role Summary:

The Parts Shipper/Receiver is responsible for the accurate and efficient shipping, receiving, and handling of parts within the dealership’s Parts Department. This role ensures that parts are organized, tracked, and delivered safely, supporting both internal staff and customer service. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, reliable, and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive, inspect, and verify incoming parts shipments for accuracy and quality.
  • Prepare and package parts for shipment to customers, other dealerships, or service locations.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records, including documenting shipments, returns, and stock movements.
  • Operate shipping and receiving equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks, safely and efficiently.
  • Ensure parts are stored in an organized manner, easily accessible for parts advisors and technicians.
  • Coordinate with parts advisors and service staff to fulfill urgent or special orders.
  • Assist with inventory counts, cycle counts, and other stock control procedures as needed.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly shipping and receiving area.
  • Adhere to all safety guidelines, manufacturer standards, and dealership policies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the Parts Department.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in logistics, supply chain, or related field is an asset.
  • Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations (automotive experience preferred).
  • Knowledge of inventory management systems and shipping procedures.
  • Ability to operate warehouse equipment safely (forklift certification an asset).
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with team members.
