About This Position

Description:

As an HSSE Systems Associate, you will design, implement, and continuously improve the systems, data pipelines, and digital workflows that support Fervo’s HSSE programs. You will work across incident management, audit tracking, training systems, compliance workflows, and predictive analytics—ensuring data integrity, system reliability, and actionable insights..

This role requires a strong technical mindset, including the ability to work with multiple software platforms, understand system integrations, and contribute to the development of automated and AI-assisted workflows. You will partner closely with HSSE, Engineering, IT, and Operations to build scalable, intelligent infrastructure that supports rapid growth and increasing operational complexity.

Requirements:

Responsibilities

HSSE Systems Architecture, Integration & Administration

  • Own configuration, administration, and optimization of HSSE platforms (incident management, audit, compliance, and training systems)
  • Design and implement scalable system architectures, including data structures, workflows, and integrations across platforms
  • Design, create and implement HSSE Management Systems (Standards, Procedures, Forms).
  • Support system interoperability through APIs, data pipelines, and integration with enterprise systems (ERP, project systems, etc.)
  • Manage user access, permissions, and governance frameworks to ensure data security and integrity
  • Partner with IT and vendors to troubleshoot issues, implement enhancements, and deploy new system capabilities

Advanced Data Management, Analytics & AI Enablement

  • Develop and maintain advanced dashboards, KPIs, and automated reporting (Excel, Power BI, SQL-based tools, or similar)
  • Support development of predictive analytics and AI-assisted models for incident trends, risk identification, and leading indicators
  • Perform data validation, reconciliation, and quality assurance across multiple systems
  • Work with structured and unstructured data sources to improve visibility into HSSE performance
  • Contribute to development of machine learning workflows, automation scripts, or data models where applicable

Administrative Support & Reporting Cadence

  • Support weekly and monthly HSSE reporting processes, including data collection, validation, and report preparation
  • Maintain and distribute recurring HSSE reports, dashboards, and leadership summaries
  • Assist HSSE leadership with administrative tasks, including documentation management, calendar coordination, and follow-ups on action items
  • Coordinate travel logistics for HSSE leadership and team members, including booking flights, accommodation, and transportation
  • Support expense tracking, reporting, and reconciliation related to HSSE activities and travel
  • Ensure timely and accurate entry of HSSE data across systems to support reporting and compliance requirements
  • Track and manage documentation for audits, inspections, and regulatory submissions
  • Support coordination of HSSE meetings, including scheduling, preparing materials, capturing notes, and tracking action items

Automation, Systems Implementation & Continuous Improvement

  • Identify, design, and implement automation opportunities to streamline HSSE processes and reduce manual effort
  • Support deployment of new HSSE systems, tools, and digital initiatives across field and office environments
  • Lead root cause analysis of system or process gaps and implement scalable corrective actions
  • Continuously improve system performance, user experience, and data architecture as the organization scales

Cross-Functional Systems Collaboration

  • Work closely with HSSE, Engineering, Operations, and IT teams to align systems with operational needs
  • Support training and onboarding of users across multiple platforms and digital tools
  • Act as a bridge between technical systems and HSSE functional requirements

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, Safety, Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field
  • 0–3 years of experience in HSSE, EHS systems, data systems, or technical/analytical roles
  • Strong understanding of HSSE principles, safety management systems, and regulatory frameworks (OSHA familiarity required)
  • Advanced computer proficiency, including experience with multiple software systems, databases, or digital platforms
  • Experience with data analysis tools (Excel required; exposure to Power BI, SQL, Python, or similar strongly preferred)
  • Demonstrated ability to learn and adapt to new technologies, systems, and tools quickly
  • Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail and data accuracy
  • Ability to travel up to 30% to field and office locations

Preferred

  • Exposure to Process Safety Management (PSM) programs and regulatory compliance systems
  • Experience with ISO 14001, ISO 45001, IOGP LSRs or similar management systems
  • Familiarity with system integrations, APIs, or data pipelines
  • Exposure to automation tools, scripting, or AI/ML concepts
  • Experience with HSSE software platforms
  • Professional certifications (or progress toward) such as CSP, SMP, OHST CHST, or equivalent
  • Experience in energy, infrastructure, or industrial environments
