About the Role:

As a Bilingual Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in Bellville, TX, you will play a vital role in providing compassionate and high-quality care to patients in a healthcare setting. Your primary objective will be to assist patients with daily living activities while effectively communicating in both English and Spanish to ensure clear understanding and comfort. You will work closely with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals to support patient health and well-being, contributing to a positive and safe environment. This role requires attentiveness to patient needs, accurate documentation, and adherence to healthcare protocols. Ultimately, your efforts will directly impact patient satisfaction and the overall quality of care delivered within the facility.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification recognized in the state of Texas.
  • Proficiency in both English and Spanish languages, with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic knowledge of patient care techniques and healthcare safety standards.
  • Ability to pass background checks and meet health screening requirements.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a long-term care or acute care facility.
  • Additional certifications such as CPR and First Aid.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and cultural sensitivity.
  • Previous experience in a bilingual healthcare environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility.
  • Monitor and record vital signs, reporting any changes in patient condition to nursing staff promptly.
  • Communicate effectively with patients and their families in both English and Spanish to provide clear instructions and emotional support.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment for patients, following infection control and safety procedures.
  • Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure comprehensive patient care and accurate documentation of services provided.

Skills:

The required bilingual communication skills enable you to bridge language barriers, ensuring patients understand their care plans and feel supported. Your CNA certification equips you with essential clinical skills to assist with patient hygiene, mobility, and monitoring vital signs accurately. Preferred skills such as familiarity with EHR systems allow you to document patient information efficiently, enhancing care coordination.
