Purpose
The successful applicant must be competent in inspecting, repairing, and maintaining underground mechanical equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for troubleshooting, installing, disassembling, repairing, and performing predictive and preventive maintenance on surface stationary equipment. IE: pumps, conveyors, crushers, mills, compressors, rock breakers.
• Responsible for compliance with OHSA, Corporate and PGM Environmental Regulations, Safety and Sustainability Standards.
• Responsible to work collaboratively with others to achieve organizational goals both within the department and cross-department.
• Must be highly motivated, organized and must be capable of decision-making.
• Responsible for providing own tools.
• Must be able to work with a team or alone as required.
• Assisting in other works areas may be required.

Training and Education

• Must be a certified Industrial Mechanic-Millwright.
• Good knowledge of compressors, pumps and hoisting plant including conveyance, pumps, crushers, compressors, mills, agitators, piping and hydraulic system such as rock breaking system.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, computer and written skills.
• Must be able to organize work and self-motivate.
• Must be willing to work with others.
