URGENTLY HIRING: Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) #PGM26
Anchorage, AK
* Starting Salary: $20.00 – $28.50/hr
Full-Time | Mon–Fri | Non-Exempt
Promote the well-being of the patients at IMA by considering all aspects of patient care which encompasses the patient’s physical, psychological, spiritual, social and educational needs. Interaction and coordination of efforts with other employees and physicians in a fast-paced medical office environment.
ResponsibilitiesPatient Care & Rooming- Escort patients to exam rooms
- Take and record vital signs (height, weight, etc.)
- Collect patient history and chief complaints
- Prepare charts, labs, and reports for providers
- Answer and triage calls and messages
- Prioritize urgent vs. routine concerns
- Document patient information in the medical record
- Coordinate with providers and clinical staff
- Assist providers during exams and procedures
- Schedule appointments and follow-ups
- Provide patient education (medications, diet, etc.)
- Communicate with pharmacies and outside providers
- Maintain accurate documentation
- Support scheduling and workflow needs
- Monitor patient flow and feedback
- Assist with Greenway Intergy EHR system
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program
- Current CMA/MA certification
- Current CPR certification
- 1+ year medical office experience (preferred)
- Strong medical terminology knowledge
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting
- Strong communication skills
- Typing speed ~60 WPM (preferred)
- EHR experience (Greenway Intergy preferred)
