Job Title: Residential Admissions Coordinator

Status: Full-Time, non-exempt

Reports To: Assistant Director of Clinical Operations

Compensation: $20.00/hour

PURPOSE: The Residential Admissions Coordinator has the primary responsibility of coordinating admissions of youth into the programs operating in the Youth Residential Center. This includes receiving, reviewing, tracking, providing final dispensations, and completing the admissions process for all referred youth.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Serves as the primary point of contact for DCFS and referring bodies regarding admission to the programs operating within the Caritas Youth Residential Center.
  • Reviews all provided information for referrals, acts upon independent judgement to determine what additional information is needed in order to complete case analysis for admissions teams
  • Provides detailed case analysis of referrals to residential programs to Assistant Director of Clinical Operations, Milieu Operations Manager, and Director of Youth Residential Center.
  • Participates in all pre-placement interviews with admissions teams to seek and obtain any clarifying information needed for the admissions teams to provide a dispensation.
  • Conducts official admission into residential programs, in conjunction with associated Managers.
  • Maintains current waiting list for all residential programs.
  • Creates and distributes weekly bed reports for residential p
  • Ensures the receipt of all required documents and consents for all youth being admitted into residential treatment programs, prior to the youths’ admission
  • Updates and maintains database software to ensure accuracy in reporting.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE REQUIRED/PREFERRED

  • Degree/Field Required: High School Diploma (Related fields will be considered.)
  • Additional Fields of Knowledge Important for the Role: Administrative — Knowledge of administrative and office procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, stenography and transcription, designing forms, and workplace terminology. Customer and Personal Service — Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction. Understanding of mental health diagnoses and services required to treat them.
  • Experience Required: Minimum Administrative- 2 years Customer Service- 2 years Mental Health- 1 year (Can be interchanged with equivalent experience from an advanced degree related to this job and/or with other relevant experience verified by applicant/incumbent).
  • Medicaid/CFR Designation: RSA/Other Program Staff

VEHICLE RELATED REQUIREMENTS:

  • Access to reliable transportation to get to/from work: Required.
  • Access to a reliable automobile: Required.
  • Must provide proof of auto liability insurance (and continue to while working in this position): Required.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license: Required.
