About This Position

Salary Range: $24.25

JOB SUMMARY

Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation in all areas of responsibility within public spaces, ensuring they are consistently welcoming, safe, and visually appealing for guests. This role requires a strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing cleanliness concerns before they impact the guest experience. The successful candidate takes pride in their work, understands the importance of presentation, and contributes to an environment that reflects our commitment to quality and comfort.

CORE WORK ACTIVITIES

  • Maintain hotel sanitation, cleanliness, maintenance and safety standards in public areas
  • Emptying trash urns in all public areas including garage
  • Sweep the garage floors.
  • Cleaning elevators.
  • Clean and stock public restrooms and health club.
  • Clean entry doors.
  • Sweep sidewalks and front of the hotel entrances.
  • Clean M level foyers and locker rooms
  • Understanding and practicing the safe and proper use and operation of all housekeeping equipment and supplies.
  • Responding to individual guest’s and employee needs in an appropriate and timely manner.
  • Perform other duties as requested.
  • Reading, understanding and practicing hotel policies as outlined in the Employee Handbook.

ADDITIONAL/SECONDARY DUTIES

  • Employee will be trained and may be required to clean guest rooms, if needed. Duties include, but are not limited to:
  • Clean guest bathrooms according to standards. This includes bathtubs, toilets, floors, mirrors, sinks, walls, and light fixtures. Remove used towels and rugs, replace with clean towels and rugs. Replenish toiletries, soaps, toilet paper, Kleenex, etc.
  • Clean guestrooms according to standards. This includes stripping bed linens, removing garbage (such as old newspapers, trash, used beverage containers, etc.), making the bed with fresh linen, dusting, vacuuming, straightening furniture and bedside table/phone/hotel information, etc. Remove any room service or coffee service trays.
    • NOTE: When scheduled to complete the above listed duties, employee will be paid at the applicable Room Attendant rate

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
  • Basic English verbal communication skills
  • Good communication skills, able to understand direction given through pager/phone/tablet
  • Able to use cleaning chemicals
  • Able to work under variations and temperature
  • Good customer relations skills
  • Team player
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • Housekeeping experience is a plus!
