Ultrasound Technologist, Registered at Medical Center Hospital – Odessa, Texas

Position Summary:

Performs ultrasound scans using real-time high frequency ultrasonic waves and high technology equipment, ensures that quality patient care is provided.

Qualifications:

A. Education:

1. Must have a current RDMS with strong scanning skills. New graduates will be considered.

2. Current BLS Certification through the American Heart Association upon hire or transfer to department

B. Training and Experience:

RDMS with one to two years’ experience in a hospital setting is preferred.

C. Job Knowledge:

This position requires initiative and independent judgment. Must be able to perform exams independently, quickly and accurately.

Unusual Physical Demands and Working Conditions:

A. Occasionally required to lift and position patients for procedures.

B. Possible hazardous exposure to infectious diseases or radiation exposure.
