Scrub Technician-RMCS Endoscopy at Northeast Alabama Regional Medical Center – Anniston, Alabama

Responsible for assisting with various types of surgeries in collaboration with the registered nurse as the direct supervisor. Assists the RN in implementing individualized nursing care to accommodate expected change which can occur during the surgical procedure; assists in proper documentation; maintains appropriate sterile fields by preparing instruments, supplies, and equipment needed for each surgical procedure.

1. Performs as sterile member of surgical team in all operative procedures following strict aseptic technique.
2. Assists the Registered Nurse in room setup.
3. Dismantles cases according to departmental policy.
4. Organizes and maintains work area, equipment and supplies.

High School Diploma.

Two years clinical OR/GI experience preferred. CPR required by the American Heart Association
