Position Summary:he Sr. Financial Analyst will own the budgeting and forecasting for business partners with the aligned business unit(s), part of the commercial organization at SPS. They will conduct critical financial analyses on initiatives delivering actionable insights that enable proactive, data-driven strategic decisions. Success in this position will be the ability to synthesize data from multiple sources, identify key performance drivers, and provide clear recommendations. The Sr. Financial Analyst will also successfully collaborate and proactively partner with aligned business unit(s) to understand key business drivers, provide analytic support, and ensure complete, timely and accurate forecasting. This role will report to the Manager, Finance for the Revenue Office and must ensure they are apprised of key performance drivers as well as support the championing of global FP&A goals such as standardized and automated reporting.Key Responsibilities:
Own the expense budgets for the business unit(s) and monthly rolling forecasts, including variance and trend analysis
Lead finance business partner for aligned business unit(s) on all strategic priority analyses
Collaborate with senior management and departmental owners in the development of operational metrics/KPI’s, initiatives, ad hoc analysis, and reporting
Effectively communicate/present results of analyses with recommended courses of actions
Collaborate across business units within SPS; be a proactive business partner
Support and work directly with the management team in the analysis and monitoring key financial statistics and analytics
Identify opportunities and actions to improve financial performance, process workflows, and cross-functional collaboration
Develop sound financial models and/or business cases in partnership with business managers
Represent Finance in data transformation and standardization efforts
Demonstrate ethical responsibility, personal accountability, and responsibility for the integrity and reliability of data, modeling, and reporting
Lead and/or provide expertise to ad hoc projects and analysis as required; ROI modeling, etc.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 5 years of related experience; a Master's degree and 3 years of experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Inquisitive, detail-oriented with strong analytical skills and a creative problem-solving approach
Ability to rapidly develop a strong understanding of internal data sources, including accessing, analyzing, and addressing specific questions with relevant data in an expedited manner
Advanced Excel skills
Demonstrated technical proficiency with financial planning and reporting software for SaaS solutions (e.g., Anaplan, Power BI, Salesforce)
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Proven ability to build effective professional relationships cross-departmentally
Strong initiative and ability to manage multiple projects with strong follow through skills; capable of taking initiative in an ambiguous and changing environment
Must be detail oriented with strong organizational skills; ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Works well in independent or team environments; demonstrated team player with positive attitude
Preferred Experience
3 years with MBA or 5+ years in a Financial Planning & Analysis role
Accounting experience
Experience with product pricing models and/or commissions planning
Location:
This role is hybrid (2-3 days), based out of headquarters in Minneapolis, MN. We Succeed Together through in-person collaboration, balanced with remote work to provide flexibility.

The annual salary range for this role is: $90,200- $135,000Base + Bonus. The actual salary offered will be determined based on the factors listed above and may fall anywhere within the range.
