About This Position
The Pharmacy Resident (PGY1) is responsible for pharmaceutical care of patients including all age groups (infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults and geriatrics). Applicant is also responsible for participating in Pharmacy Quality Improvement activities and teaching pharmacotherapeutics and community medication education classes. Prospective resident will use knowledge and critical judgment to make decisions concerning patient drug therapy.
Education: B.S. in Pharmacy or Pharm. D. degree with required internship; completion of a clinical residency program preferred. Must be licensed by State of Tennessee.
Experience: Health-system pharmacy experience preferred. Must have thorough knowledge of pharmacotherapy concepts in order to resolve drug therapy related problems. Well-developed interpersonal skills preferred.
