2nd shift Housekeeping Supervisor in Nashville, Tennessee at Bestway Services

We are seeking a dependable 2nd Shift Housekeeping Supervisor to oversee custodial operations at Nashville Electric Service facilities. This position is responsible for supervising cleaning staff, coordinating daily cleaning activities, and ensuring assigned areas meet established cleanliness standards.

The Supervisor works closely with the Project Manager and NES Facilities Inspector to support quality service and maintain a professional work environment.

Monday through Friday, 3:00 PM-11:30 PM

• Must be able to pass a background check
• Minimum three (3) years of floor care experience (VCT tile stripping, waxing, buffing, etc.)
• Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
• Working knowledge of commercial cleaning equipment and supplies
• Ability to lead a team and address day-to-day operational issues
• Reliable attendance and ability to work assigned shift schedule
  

• Supervise approximately 17 custodial employees during the 2nd shift.
• Ensure employees are properly equipped, uniformed, and prepared to begin work at the start of each shift.
• Assign housekeeping duties and monitor completion of tasks to ensure cleaning standards are met.
• Conduct routine inspections of assigned work areas after cleaning tasks are completed.
• Communicate inspection results, service concerns, and operational updates to the Project Manager.
• Address employee concerns, attendance issues, and day-to-day team management needs.
• Assist with scheduling and coordinating staff coverage when needed.
• Provide training and guidance to employees on proper cleaning procedures and equipment use.
• Maintain awareness of cleaning supply levels and communicate supply needs to management.
• Issue cleaning supplies and equipment to staff as needed.
• Respond to service requests or concerns from NES representatives and ensure timely resolution.
• Perform cleaning duties during staff shortages or operational needs.
• Maintain a safe and professional work environment for all employees.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Project Manager.
  

This position reports to the Project Manager assigned to the NES contract and works in coordination with the NES Facilities Inspector to ensure all contractual service requirements are met.
