Pool Manager at City of Paducah – Paducah, Kentucky

Pool Manager of the Noble Park Pool, under the general direction of the Recreation Specialist and Recreation Supervisor. Responsible for day-to-day pool operations. Care for the safety and well-being of facility users and swimmers; renders first aid as needed; activates facility emergency action plans; manages swimming lessons to youth and adults; manages pool receipts and fees; cleans and maintains pool facilities; Schedules, supervises, and manages lifeguards and pool attendants.

Illustrative Duties:

· Assists other staff with maintaining the safety of customers.

· Maintains order and prevents accidents.

· Train and supervise all Noble Park Pool staff, including implementation of emergency action plans and safety procedures.

· Supervise and manage staff, including coordinating and leading weekly meetings.

· Assists with scheduling staff for daily tasks and operations.

· Maintains record-keeping duties.

· Manage and delegate assignments to staff as appropriate.

· Assists with maintaining pool chemistry and facility equipment.

· Assists with handling admission fees, concession fees, handling money, making correct change, and making daily cash deposits.

· Enforce facility rules and regulations

· Opens and closes Noble Park Pool and ensures all procedures are completed.

· Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Must be American Red Cross Lifeguard Certified. Be responsible and punctual. Have a working knowledge of positive public relations. Be able to enforce rules and regulations and have good, sound judgment. Count and handle money. Familiar with pool or aquatic center operations. Must be able to operate a computer.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Must be able to work long hours in the outdoor summer temperatures. Must be able to stand or sit for long periods of time. Must be Lifeguard Certified through the American Red Cross. Must be able to pass the Essential Job Function Test.
