This position provides systemwide clinical leadership (with an emphasis based on our Medical, Surgical and Rehab unit) by fostering excellence through education, research, and interdisciplinary collaboration. The RN will guide and support the clinical proficiency of our staff, fostering ongoing professional growth through structured learning experiences and courses aligned with individual development goals.

JOB SUMMARY:
Ensures evidence-based care and practices for patients, customers, and our team through education, research and collaboration with other health professionals. Provides education and resources to advance healthcare and improve outcomes in a cost-effective way. Responsible for developing, conducting, coordinating and evaluating in-service programs, orientation, and continuing education for nurses and other team members. Develop educational policies and procedures. Serves as a resource person to staff, management, and providers. Ensure courses are offered to assist in meeting organizational goals.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Licensed to practice in the State of Oklahoma
  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing required, masters preferred
  • 3-5 years clinical experience in specialty area preferred
  • Current BLS card or completion within 7 days of employment
  • ACLS certification within 30 days of employment
  • PALS or NRP (depending on specialty area) certification within 90 days of employment
  • Ability to communicate effectively and function appropriately in stressful situations
  • Critical thinking, service excellence and good interpersonal skills
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Strength and stamina for prolonged walking, standing, and dealing with stressful situations
  • Demonstrates adequate vision, or correctable with glasses/contacts, to read and write
  • Able to hear, or correctable with hearing devices, and able to talk to converse with others in person and over the phone
  • Possess fine motor skills and hand/eye coordination
