🚀 Position Overview

As a Service Technician, you are the face of Pro Smoker in the field. You’ll install, start up, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain industry-leading smokehouse equipment while delivering an exceptional customer experience.

This is a hands-on, problem-solving role for someone who thrives on technical challenges, enjoys travel, and takes pride in helping customers succeed.

You’ll report directly to the Director of Operations and collaborate closely with our technical and service teams.

🔧 What You’ll Do
  • Install, start up, repair, and maintain Pro Smoker equipment

  • Build, install, and test electrical control panels in-house

  • Program PLCs and smokehouse control systems

  • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance at customer sites

  • Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues onsite and remotely (phone/email)

  • Create detailed service reports following each visit

  • Manage service projects, including scheduling and shipping coordination

  • Update troubleshooting manuals and documentation

  • Respond quickly and effectively to customer needs

  • Advise customers on equipment performance and make upgrade recommendations

  • Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure seamless customer support

Overnight travel may be required.

🛠 What You Bring
  • High school diploma or GED (technical degree preferred)

  • Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills

  • Experience with PLCs and computer control systems

  • Ability to read and interpret wiring schematics

  • Excellent problem-solving ability and attention to detail

  • Strong communication and customer service skills

  • Self-motivated with strong time management skills

  • Valid driver’s license with a good driving record

  • Ability to lift up to 55 lbs

  • Ability to stand for up to 8 hours and work on ladders
