The Humanities Department of Maritime College, State University of New York is seeking applications for two (2) Adjunct Instructor positions in Composition and Rhetoric beginning August, 2024. The successful candidates will each teach two (2) sections of English 101: Freshman English and/or other Composition classes. We are particularly seeking candidates with experience in Technical Writing, Digital Writing, and Writing for Engineers.
Job Requirements:
Required Qualifications
- Masters in Composition and Rhetoric, Technical Writing, English Literature, or a closely related field
- College Teaching Experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Doctorate in Composition and Rhetoric, Technical Writing, English Literature, or a closely related field
Additional Information:
Special Notes: The Adjunct Lecturer is a part-time temporary UUP Position. Salary minimums per three-credit course per semester is $3,500.00. The credit hour equivalent for contact hours and other credit equivalencies will be determined by management based on the practices at each individual campus.
