JOB SUMMARY

This position is responsible for providing direct patient care under the supervision of a Physician/Advanced Practice Nurse/Physician Asst in a clinic setting. Under the direction and supervision of the medical provider the non-certified Medical Asst is to carry out any duties delegated and requested by the medical provider.

This position may require providing services to one or more age populations, including neonate through geriatric, in a manner that demonstrates an understanding of the functional/developmental age of the individual served.

This position will maintain patient account information, schedule patient appointments, collect co-pays, process mail and maintain reception area.

This position requires full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission of Blessing Health System. It is expected that the employee demonstrate behavior consistent with the Core Values while supporting the strategic plan, goals, and direction of Performance Improvement Process (PIP) and Patient Safety Plan.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Training/Experience:

REQUIRED:

• Graduate of an RN School of Nursing

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

PREFERRED:

• Previous clinic experience

License/Certifications/Special Requirements:

• High School graduate or equivalent.

License/Certifications/Special Requirements:

• Certified in American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for Health Care provider (CPR) upon hire.
• Completion of the Medical Terminology CBL’s within the first 3 months of hire
• Completion of “Injection Administration” training and competency within the first month
