Cashier/Clerk at MWS Enterprises, Inc. – Le Roy, New York

Purpose of the position: To serve customer needs and wants at all times in a way that results in a satisfied repeat customer.

1. Report prepared and ready for work, following company dress code standards at the scheduled time.
2. Greet each customer with the specified company greeting – “Welcome to Yellow Goose.”
3. Record all sales promptly and accurately following company standards.
4. Maintain daily, a clean attractive store – inside and out – by completing all shift duties as stated.
5. Complete cash balance sheet accurately, neatly and timely following company standards.
6. Properly receive all merchandise and complete all invoices pertaining to said merchandise in a manner to maximize inventory control as stated in company standards.
7. Make daily, bakery, deli products, coffee, etc., that is in accordance with health regulations and that meets or exceeds company standards.
8. Minimize controllable store expenses by following company guidelines involving the handling of spoilage, breakage and items that are for store use.
9. Practice plus selling at all times by following company guidelines by stating “Would you like anything else?”
10. Promote merchandise specials with customers.
11. Reduce theft loss and shrinkage by following company policies and procedures and practicing honesty in the workplace.
12. Follow all company policies dealing with the sale of alcohol, tobacco and adult magazines.
13. Follow all company policies pertaining to Lotto and Lottery.
14. Complete time cards neatly and accurately on a daily basis as stated in company policies.
15. Complete and balance all daily paperwork and deposits, neatly and accurately according to company guidelines.
16. Meet personal objectives as set by your manager.
17. Enforce all company standards, policies and guidelines.
18. Must be able to stand for up to an 8 hour shift on a hard surface floor in performance of cashier duties.
19. Must be able to carry up to 60 pounds and lift up to 5 feet high.
20. Must be able to push/pull brooms or mops in order to clean floors and parking areas.
21. Must be able to work in temperatures of 40 degrees for up to a 15- minute duration in the stocking and maintenance of coolers.
22. Must be able to climb a ladder in the cleaning of windows.
23. Must be able to tolerate chemicals in the cleaning of counters, floors, and other facilities.
