Starting Pay Range: $11 - $12 and up

Purpose of Job:

Assemble and prepare soft serve and DQ Blizzard® cakes and cupcakes according to recipes. Ensure that all cakes meet the Dairy Queen® standards of quality and excellence.

Essential Functions:

• Prepare cakes according to recipes or special requests by customers.
• Properly and safely operate and maintain cake and soft serve equipment while following all health and safety standards.
• Maintain an adequate inventory of prepared cake blanks ready to be decorated, including additional production during holidays, national promotions and other peak cake occasions.
• Keep cake production area and equipment clean throughout the shift.
• Stock items and organize as needed.
• Perform other duties as requested by management staff.

Qualification Standards:

• Have the desire and drive to produce many cakes during a shift.
• Be able to follow and maintain set par levels for desired inventory on hand.
• Willingness to train and learn the proper procedures for operating soft serve equipment and cake equipment.
• Capability to stand for periods of time and may need to occasionally lift up to 40 pounds.
• Ability to learn and adhere to all food safety standards.
• Have a positive attitude and exhibit good manners, proper personal hygiene and promptness.
