| Physical Requirements | Lifting, pushing, and/or pulling objects up to and possibly over 50lbs; Standing or walking with objects up to 25lbs. May be exposed to loud noises, fumes, confined spaces, and/or temperature extremes while on job sites. |
| Shift | 7:30am – 4:15pm (Monday – Friday) Hours of work may vary dependent upon situational factors and may include some nights(s), weekend(s), and holiday(s) response. |
| Job Summary | The STEPS Facilities Multi-Skilled Trades Worker individually performs and/or assists: Electricians in installing and repairing electrical wiring, fixtures, and related equipment; Painters in mixing and matching paints, stains, and painting; Plumbers in installing, maintaining, and repairing pipes, valves, faucets, sinks, and other plumbing facilities; Masons in laying brick, cement block, and sidewalks; Carpenters in repairing chairs, tables, fences, doors, windows, floors, floors including carpet tile,VCT, wood, ceiling grid/tile, drywall installation/finishing, plaster repairs, various demolition, and other articles and fixtures; Maintenance personnel in the repair and maintenance of buildings;HVACmechanics in the operation, maintenance, and repair of heating, refrigeration, and air conditioning equipment; repair and maintenance of tools and equipment; and use of gas/electric operated equipment. In addition, this position: models and promotes excellent customer service for internal and external customers; interacts with customers and clients in a manner which helps them reach their goals and objectives and delivers appropriate responses; Inspects assigned work areas, documents findings, and initiates appropriate action to correct deficiencies though authorization and contact with supervision; ensures work in-process and upon completion complies with instructions, adherence to established practices and standards, and overall acceptability of work; ensures designated working areas are maintained in a safe and orderly manner and continuously free of trash and debris; and demonstrates an awareness of inventory cost control by effective and efficient use of tools and equipment. |
