Grounds Crew Team at G C Quarry Holdings – SAN ANTONIO, Texas

The Quarry Golf Club is looking for individuals to join our hardworking maintenance team.

Specific responsibilities include:

• Maintaining putting and tee surfaces - mowing, ball mark repair, topdressing, rotating placement markers
• Maintaining fairway surfaces - Divots and general area clean up, trimming drain tiles, yardage plates and sprinkler heads
• Maintaining roughs, bunker areas, & cart paths - String trimming, mowing, hand sweeping/blowing
• General maintenance & labor - shoveling, raking, sweeping, painting, equipment cleaning
• Power equipment requirements - -mowers, light and medium duty utility vehicles

The staff is broken into two crews. A typical weekly schedule.

Crew A: Monday – Thursday: 5:00am-2:00pm, Friday: 5:00am-9:00am. Off the rest of the day Friday and all-Day Saturday and Sunday.

Crew B: Monday – Thursday: 5:00am-1:00pm, off Friday, Saturday and Sunday 5:00am-9:00am.

Skills/Requirements

• Ability to use hand and power tools necessary
• Physical strength and stamina to perform specified duties; e.g. bending, stooping, kneeling, etc. during all types of weather conditions is essential
• Candidate must be able to lift 50 pounds
• Must be able to understand and follow oral and written instructions while working alone or in a group setting
