Job Description
Join the revolution in hospitality tech!
Nomni is the all-in-one platform built for hospitality operators - bringing POS, payments, ordering, loyalty, procurement, marketing, and data together in one system, with AI at its core.
We exist because hospo tech has been built around what's good for the people providing it, not the people using it. We're changing that. Built by operators, for operators - with 35,000 venues already on the platform across Australia and Southeast Asia.
One platform. One team. One company accountable for the outcomes that matter.
About the role
We’re looking for a Marketing and Data Intern to join our Marketing team. In this role, you’ll support marketing initiatives through data analysis, campaign reporting, research, and day-to-day execution. You’ll work with marketing and customer data to uncover insights, measure performance, and help the team make better, data-informed decisions.
This is a hands-on opportunity to gain practical experience at the intersection of marketing, data, and AI, working alongside teams across Nomni while contributing to real projects and business outcomes.
What you'll do
- Collect, clean, organise, and analyse marketing and customer data from multiple sources.
- Support campaign reporting and track key metrics including engagement, leads, conversions, and funnel performance.
- Build and maintain reports and dashboards to help the team understand marketing performance.
- Assist with audience segmentation, customer analysis, and targeting for marketing campaigns.
- Conduct market, competitor, and customer research to identify trends and opportunities.
- Support the execution and measurement of digital marketing campaigns across relevant channels.
- Help maintain accurate and reliable data across marketing systems and identify gaps or inconsistencies.
- Use AI tools to support research, analysis, content workflows, and marketing productivity.
- Assist with testing and experimentation across campaigns, audiences, messaging, and channels.
- Turn data and research into clear insights that can support marketing and business decisions.
Qualifications
- Currently studying or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Business, Data Analytics, Statistics, Economics, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Strong analytical skills and confidence working with numbers and data.
- Working knowledge of Excel and/or Google Sheets, including formulas, filtering, and basic data analysis.
- Strong interest in digital marketing, data analytics, customer behaviour, and AI.
- Ability to interpret data and communicate findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong attention to detail and an organised approach to working with data.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Curious, proactive, and comfortable learning new tools and ways of working.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
Good to Have
- Basic knowledge of SQL or another data-querying language.
- Exposure to data visualisation or BI tools.
- Familiarity with Google Analytics, CRM platforms, or marketing automation tools.
- Exposure to digital advertising platforms such as Google Ads or Meta Ads.
- Basic knowledge of Python or another programming language.
- Experience using generative AI tools for research, analysis, automation, or marketing workflows.
- An understanding of A/B testing, experimentation, or campaign performance analysis.
- Previous internship, university project, or personal project involving marketing or data analysis.
