Anesthesia Tech (PRN)-Surgery

Work location: Texas Health Frisco, 12400 N Dallas Parkway, Frisco, Texas, 75033
Work hours: PRN; Variable hours - no weekends
Anesthesia department highlights:
• Fast-Paced, high-volume department averaging
• The professional certified anesthesia tech exhibits understanding of basic human needs.
• The professional certified anesthesia tech demonstrates recognition and understanding of patient's affiliations.
Here's What You Need
• H.S. Diploma or Equivalent
• At least 1 Year Anesthesia experience (Strongly Preferred)
• CAT - Certified Anesthesia Tech (Upon Hire Required) And
• BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly (Required)
What You Will Do
• Provides support to anesthesia providers during routine and urgent surgical cases and procedures to ensure quality patient care.
• Provides support to anesthesia staff with preparation of room and equipment needed for patient care.
• Protects patient and personal safety by following department processes, maintaining a sterile environment and understanding equipment function.
• Maintains supply, equipment and pharmacy inventory to optimize delivery of anesthesia services.
• Maintains cleanliness and proper function of anesthesia equipment and workroom.
• Daily computer support. Troubleshoots equipment.
• Able to support Anesthesiologist in Optime.
• Assists in meeting departmental/hospital KPIs related to patient outcomes, customer satisfaction, financial performances, organizational effectiveness and community health care (Reach Out Programs)
