Description:

The Warehouse Operations Manager of our Houston, TX location will lead all aspects of our warehouse, manufacturing and logistics functions, ensuring efficient inventory management, seamless order fulfillment, and outstanding team performance. This role requires a strategic thinker with a hands-on approach, strong leadership skills, and at least 10 years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Warehouse, Manufacturing & Logistics Oversight
    • Manage day-to-day warehouse and manufacturing activities, including receiving, storage, picking, packing, maintenance and shipping
    • Oversee logistics operations, carrier relationships, and transportation planning
  • Inventory Management
    • Develop and maintain inventory control processes to minimize stock discrepancies
    • Forecast demand in collaboration with procurement and sales teams
    • Implement cycle counting and audit procedures
  • Team Leadership & Development
    • Recruit, train, and mentor warehouse and logistics staff (supervisors, forklift operators, pickers/packers, etc.)
    • Set performance goals, conduct regular evaluations, and drive continuous improvement
    • Foster a safety-first culture; ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety standards
  • Process Improvement & Reporting
    • Analyze operational metrics (e.g., order accuracy, on-time shipments, inventory accuracy) and implement improvement plans
    • Lead initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce costs
    • Prepare and present regular reports to senior leadership
Requirements:

Qualifications & Skills

  • Minimum 10 years of progressive warehouse and manufacturing operations management experience, with at least 5 years in a supervisory or leadership role
  • Proven expertise in warehouse management systems (WMS) and ERP integration
  • Strong understanding of inventory control principles and best practices
  • Exceptional people management skills with a track record of building high-performing teams
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement certification (preferred)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Screen printing and imprinting knowledge and experience, not required but preferred
