Job Description
Position Summary
The Yard Dog driver supports docking and moving containers and trailers in order to support production and warehouse management. The driver communicates and cooperates with trucking position team leader and warehousing members in order for materials to be unloaded properly.

Essential Functions
Corporate:

Technical:
Ability to drive a Yard Dog safely with containers and trailers and park them to the docks properly.
Ability to support warehousing and production demands and meet 100% on time docking every day
Ability to work and cooperate with trucking management team leaders and container related people to meet job requirements
Accurately follows and performs Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
Understands importance of maintaining quality and safety standards at all times throughout process for yard dog
Understands inventory control and JIT (Just in Time) and JIS (Just in sequence) concepts and apply the concept into the process of docking containers and trailers.
Adheres to 5S philosophy and maintains a clean yard dog
Demonstrates an active understanding of processes, procedures, standards and methods in yard and docks
Works safely and efficiently in a fast paced manufacturing environment
Ability to be flexible and adapt to changing job demands, customer shipments, and manager’s request
Exhibits clear competency when performing the roles and responsibilities in specific job duty
Works well with others and promote a positive team-orientated work environment
