Senior Animator in India at Jobgether

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Animator based in India.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced animator to contribute to high-end visual effects for feature films and episodic television projects. You’ll bring characters, creatures, vehicles, props, cameras, and other elements to life while delivering polished animation across assigned shots. The role combines strong artistic judgment with technical problem-solving and an understanding of production pipelines. You’ll participate in dailies, collaborate closely with artists and supervisors, and both give and receive constructive feedback. Your work will contribute directly to ambitious VFX productions while helping maintain a high standard of creative and technical quality. • Animate primary and secondary characters and elements for high-end episodic television and feature film VFX projects.
• Animate a broad range of assets, including characters, creatures, vehicles, props, and cameras.
• Complete assigned shots efficiently while consistently delivering work that meets high artistic and technical quality standards.
• Apply a thorough understanding of core animation principles, shot composition, timing, movement, and performance.
• Participate actively in dailies sessions, presenting work clearly and incorporating feedback from supervisors and fellow artists.
• Provide constructive feedback to other artists and contribute positively to a collaborative creative environment.
• Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve animation-related technical challenges throughout production.
• Work effectively within the CG pipeline and collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth shot delivery.
• Maintain efficient production workflows while meeting project schedules and deadlines.
• Continuously develop animation techniques and contribute to improving the quality and efficiency of production processes.

• Significant professional experience in animation for high-end film and/or episodic television VFX.
• Strong knowledge of Autodesk Maya and Houdini.
• Thorough understanding of fundamental animation principles and their application to cinematic shot work.
• Demonstrated experience animating a variety of assets, including characters, creatures, vehicles, props, and cameras.
• Strong understanding of shot composition, performance, timing, and visual storytelling.
• Good knowledge of CG production pipelines and the ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary VFX environment.
• Strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, particularly when addressing animation-related production challenges.
• Ability to respond constructively to feedback and communicate effectively during dailies and collaborative reviews.
• Excellent attention to detail and a consistent commitment to high-quality work.
• Ability to work efficiently under production deadlines while maintaining artistic standards.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a collaborative and respectful approach to working with artists and production teams.
