Job Description
Ellis Medicine is seeking an Electrophysiologist Cardiologist to join our growing cardiovascular team in Schenectady, New York. This is an excellent opportunity for an Electrophysiologist Cardiologist who is looking to join an established health system and provide comprehensive, high-quality cardiac rhythm care to patients throughout the Capital Region.
The ideal candidate is a board-certified or board-eligible Electrophysiologist Cardiologist who is committed to patient-centered care and enjoys working collaboratively with cardiologists, advanced practice providers, primary care physicians, and other specialists.
Position Highlights

Clinical Responsibilities
The Electrophysiologist Cardiologist will provide evaluation and management of patients with a broad range of cardiac rhythm disorders, including:
- Atrial fibrillation and atrial flutter
- Supraventricular tachycardia
- Ventricular arrhythmias
- Bradyarrhythmias and conduction disorders
- Syncope
- Cardiomyopathies and arrhythmia-related complications
- Other complex cardiac rhythm disorders
Procedural responsibilities may include:
- Electrophysiology studies
- Catheter ablation procedures
- Atrial fibrillation and atrial flutter ablation
- Pacemaker implantation and management
- Implantable cardioverter-defibrillator (ICD) procedures and management
- Device interrogation and follow-up
- Lead management, as applicable
- Collaboration with general cardiology and other specialty services
Additional responsibilities may include:
- Comprehensive outpatient electrophysiology consultations and follow-up care
- Inpatient electrophysiology consultation and management
- Participation in shared cardiology call responsibilities
- Collaboration with referring physicians and multidisciplinary care teams
- Participation in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
Qualifications
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiovascular Disease and Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology
- Licensed (or eligible) to practice in New York State
- Strong clinical, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care
Recruitment Package
Ellis Medicine offers a competitive recruitment package designed to support your professional and personal transition to our organization, including:
- Guaranteed base salary of $675,000–$735,000 for the first two years
- Following the initial two-year guaranteed base period, the Structural Heart Cardiologist will have the opportunity to participate in the Cardiology Pool Model, in which RVU and quality incentive compensation models are shared among eligible pool members. Entry into the Pool Model is based on meeting an annual RVU threshold
- The posted salary reflects the starting range of total compensation and does not include productivity bonuses incentives related to quality and performance, extra shift incentives, and other forms of cash compensation as applicable to the position. Please note that this salary range is provided in accordance with State law and is subject to variation due to the factors noted above.
- $50,000 starting bonus
- Relocation assistance up to $20,000
