The Business Applications Analyst is the primary administrator and support resource for Maiker Housing Partners Yardi and related business applications. This role helps ensure staff have the right access, systems are set up correctly, issues are resolved quickly, and business teams can use these tools effectively.
The position works closely with departments, IT, Yardi, consultants, and software vendors to support day-to-day operations, connected systems, and system improvements. The ideal candidate has strong Yardi experience, a service-oriented approach, and the ability to translate business needs into practical system solutions.
This position serves as a reliable bridge between business users, internal IT, Yardis direct support, consultants, and third-party software providers.
Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesYardi AdministrationServe as the primary administrator for Yardi Voyager and related Yardi products.
Manage system setup, workflows, security roles, permissions, user access, and routine access reviews.
Support Yardi-connected tools such as resident portals, vendor portals, payment systems, inspection tools, compliance tools, procurement systems, reporting tools, and document management systems.
Maintain connections between Yardi and related software systems, including routine monitoring, vendor coordination, support contacts, and escalation steps.
Support standard Yardi reports, exports, dashboards, and basic data checks in partnership with business users and vendors.
Keep clear documentation for system setup, workflows, access, integrations, business rules, and routine procedures.
Yardi and SaaS SupportAct as the first stop for Yardi and related software issues before they are sent to Yardi Direct Support or another vendor.
Review user issues, ask clarifying questions, gather examples, and document what is happening.
Resolve access, setup, workflow, reporting, and user support issues when they can be handled internally.
Open and manage support cases with Yardi or vendors when escalation is needed, making sure each case includes the right details and business impact.
Track open issues, vendor responses, next steps, and follow-up items through resolution.
Provide simple user guidance, quick-reference instructions, and department-level support to help staff use the systems effectively.
Yardi Project WorkResearch, evaluate, demo, test, and help implement new Yardi features, Yardi modules, and tools that connect with Yardi.
Work with departments to understand needs, review workflows, plan setup, test changes, and prepare for go-live.
Coordinate project work with business teams, IT, Yardi, consultants, and software vendors.
Monitor adoption after launch, gather feedback, identify barriers, and recommend improvements.
Create training materials, support guides, process notes, and communications for new or updated tools and workflows.
Support testing, launch planning, change management, and post-launch stabilization for Yardi-related initiatives.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum three years of Yardi Voyager administration or advanced user experience.
Experience with affordable housing, multifamily housing, public housing, real estate, or property management operations.
Experience supporting business applications in a SaaS environment.
Experience supporting Yardi-connected software tools and integrations.
Experience supporting software implementations, upgrades, or system changes.
Strong troubleshooting, documentation, vendor coordination, and customer service skills.
PreferredAssociates or bachelors degree in Information Systems, Business, Computer Science, Accounting, or a related field.
Experience supporting Yardi Affordable Housing, Public Housing, or related housing products.
Experience with RentCafe, VendorCafe, Procure to Pay, Elevate, and related Yardi products.
Experience supporting Yardi interfaces, reporting exports, account setup, security, and issue resolution.
