Sign on bonus: $5000 total ($1000 paid out after successful completion of first full week of employment; $2000 paid out after successful completion of 3 months of employment; $2000 after successful completion of 6 months of employment)

Position Profile: An individual in this position provides a full range of direct treatment services consistent with the 12-Core Functions of addiction treatment and through the lens of harm reduction within a licensed addiction treatment agency under the supervision of the Program Director. Duties include screening and intake, psychosocial assessment, treatment planning, referrals, individual counseling, and providing clinical group therapy. The Residential Treatment Program Mental Health Clinician will assist with daily operations and provide mental health support to both the Residential Treatment Program, and the Medically Managed Withdrawal Program.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Assists the program director with managing and coordinating client intakes, discharges, caseloads, and treatment planning.
  • Assists the program director with on-boarding new staff as well as supporting on-going staff development.
  • Provides mental health consultation and support to both Andover Road programs including risk assessment, screenings, and evaluations as requested.
  • Provides treatment groups using evidence-based practices.
  • Completes and maintains necessary records and reports in an accurate and confidential manner.
  • Provides transportation and accompanies patients to community providers as needed.
  • Demonstrates compassionate and clinically appropriate care for clients.
  • Makes appropriate referrals for clients to other agencies to help clients meet their vocational, educational, social, physical health, and mental health needs.
  • Works well within the interdisciplinary team with excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Provides services consistent with applicable codes of ethics and industry standards.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Schedule: 32-35 hours per week; schedule flexible within normal business hours and can be discussed at interview

Requirements:

Qualifications Required: Minimum of an LADC with advanced training in mental health treatment or an independently licensed social worker or clinical professional counselor. Preference will be given to candidates who are independently licensed in mental health (LCSW, LCPC) and substance use treatment (LADC, CCS). Experience in residential treatment management is a plus.

Physical demands and work environment: Freedom of movement on a regular basis. Operating basic office equipment in a normal office environment. May spend extended periods operating a desktop computer, requiring hand-eye coordination and finger dexterity; physical activity requires walking, bending, standing, and lifting.
