Job Description
About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Equipment Operator to join our team in the Turnaround Group (TAR) of our Oil and Gas Extraction Mining and Quarrying industry. As an Equipment Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining heavy machinery and equipment, ensuring that all work is completed safely and efficiently. You will work closely with other team members to ensure that all equipment is in good working order and that all tasks are completed on time and to the highest quality standards.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- At least 2 years of experience operating heavy machinery and equipment
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in the Oil and Gas Extraction Mining and Quarrying industry
- Certification in heavy equipment operation
- Experience with GPS and other advanced equipment technologies
Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain heavy machinery and equipment, including bulldozers, backhoes, excavators, and loaders
- Ensure that all work is completed safely and efficiently, following all relevant safety procedures and guidelines
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure that all equipment is in good working order and that all tasks are completed on time and to the highest quality standards
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment, including cleaning, lubricating, and adjusting machinery as needed
- Maintain accurate records of all work performed, including equipment maintenance and repair logs
Skills:
As an Equipment Operator, you will use your strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills to ensure that all work is completed safely and efficiently. You will also use your technical knowledge and ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics to operate and maintain heavy machinery and equipment. In addition, you will collaborate closely with other team members to ensure that all tasks are completed on time and to the highest quality standards. Your experience with GPS and other advanced equipment technologies will be an asset in this role. Finally, your attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records of all work performed will be critical to your success in this position.
