This senior clinical leadership role drives the strategy and execution of patient safety and clinical excellence across a large, value-based primary care network.
It focuses on building and standardizing evidence-based clinical guidelines, care pathways, and safety protocols at scale.
The position plays a key role in shaping a high-reliability culture, ensuring consistent, high-quality care delivery across multiple care teams and regions.
It involves close collaboration with operational leaders, clinicians, and transformation teams to support real-time clinical decision-making.
The role also leads patient safety governance, including event analysis, risk mitigation, and continuous improvement initiatives.

- Provide national clinical leadership for the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of clinical excellence programs, including care pathways, referral standards, and population health initiatives.
- Oversee patient safety strategy, including policy governance, safety event review, risk identification, and implementation of corrective action plans.
- Serve as clinical authority for complex case resolution and deviations from established clinical protocols, ensuring consistency and quality of care.
- Partner with operational and transformation teams to provide real-time clinical expertise for strategic initiatives and rapid response operations.
- Lead clinical committee participation and collaborate with multidisciplinary leaders to align standards, metrics, and performance evaluation frameworks.
- Support provider education and communication consistency in partnership with training and clinical leadership teams.
- Leverage data and analytics to assess program effectiveness and drive continuous quality improvement across the network.
- MD or DO degree with board certification in a relevant medical specialty.
- Minimum of 5+ years of clinical experience, including prior leadership experience within a healthcare delivery or provider organization.
- Strong background in developing and implementing evidence-based clinical guidelines, quality programs, and patient safety initiatives.
- Deep understanding of population health management and team-based, value-driven care models.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills across multidisciplinary environments.
- Experience in senior-focused care, geriatrics, or value-based healthcare strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with health informatics, large-scale healthcare systems, or multi-site clinical operations is an advantage.
- Competitive annual salary range: $270,800 – $378,800 (based on experience, skills, and location).
