Job Description
This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Director – Technology Development in the United States.
This is a senior technical leadership role focused on transforming advanced engineering and research outputs into scalable, production-ready network solutions within a complex telecommunications and space-enabled connectivity environment. You will play a critical role in ensuring that system designs are operationally viable, standardized, and ready for deployment across integrated multi-layer network architectures. The position blends deep technical expertise with strategic leadership, requiring oversight of system integration, defect resolution, and engineering governance. You will guide cross-functional teams in translating innovation into reliable, high-performance network infrastructure. Acting as a senior technical authority, you will validate solution readiness and ensure alignment between development, validation, and operational teams. This role operates in a highly complex, fast-evolving environment where precision, scalability, and technical excellence are essential to success.
- Lead the translation of advanced engineering and R&D outputs into production-ready, scalable network solutions and deployment strategies.
- Define, maintain, and enforce standardized system architectures, network configurations, and design governance frameworks.
- Oversee end-to-end system integration across access, core, and infrastructure layers in large-scale distributed network environments.
- Direct advanced defect triage, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation to ensure system reliability and performance.
- Serve as a senior technical authority responsible for validating solution readiness prior to testing and production deployment phases.
- Lead cross-functional collaboration between engineering, validation, and operations teams to align technical and operational objectives.
- Manage and mentor multidisciplinary engineering teams, driving technical excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Establish best practices for system design, operational readiness, and deployment methodologies across the organization.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, Systems Engineering, or a related technical field (Master’s preferred).
- 15+ years of experience in telecommunications, satellite communications, wireless networks, or related large-scale network environments.
- 5+ years of leadership experience managing complex, cross-functional engineering teams.
- Proven experience translating R&D or prototype systems into operational, production-grade solutions.
- Strong background in end-to-end network architecture, system integration, and large-scale distributed infrastructure.
- Deep understanding of telecom technologies, including radio access networks, core networks, and multi-node architectures.
- Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and cross-functional collaboration skills in highly technical environments.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical thinking, and decision-making abilities under complex conditions.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to convey technical concepts to both engineering and executive audiences.
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively as required by business needs.
- Competitive executive-level compensation aligned with senior technical leadership roles in the US market.
- Comprehensive benefits package including healthcare, retirement, and wellness programs.
- Opportunity to work on cutting-edge space-based and global telecommunications infrastructure projects.
- High-impact leadership role shaping next-generation network architecture and technology deployment strategies.
- Exposure to large-scale, multi-domain systems spanning terrestrial and non-terrestrial networks.
- Strong culture of innovation, technical excellence, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Career-defining opportunity within a pioneering organization in global connectivity and space communications.
