Job Description

Principal Product Management, Growth

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Principal Product Management, Growth based in United States.

This is a high-impact product leadership role focused on owning a portfolio of growth and self-serve experiences from first discovery through revenue.
You’ll define multi-quarter growth strategies while maintaining a fast experimentation cadence that turns data into measurable business outcomes.
The role combines product strategy, hands-on execution, monetization, analytics, and cross-functional leadership across Product, Engineering, Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success.
You’ll shape how customers discover, activate, consume, upgrade, and expand their use of a sophisticated B2B SaaS platform.
As an early senior leader in the growth organization, you’ll establish operating standards, experimentation practices, and product principles that can scale across the broader team.
You’ll also explore emerging AI-driven discovery and distribution channels, including LLM-first experiences, agent-readable journeys, and new approaches to product-led growth.
The position offers substantial ownership, executive visibility, and the opportunity to directly influence revenue, product strategy, and the evolution of the growth discipline.

Accountabilities
  • Own a portfolio-level growth surface end-to-end, defining entry points, activation milestones, monetization moments, sales-assist signals, and experiences across landing pages, signup, onboarding, paywalls, upgrade flows, lifecycle communication, and emerging AI-discovery surfaces.
  • Develop and maintain a multi-quarter growth thesis, identifying which channels and initiatives should receive increased investment, which should be retired, and how resources should be allocated based on unit economics and measurable business potential.
  • Establish a rigorous experimentation operating rhythm, defining hypotheses, metrics, success thresholds, and invalidation signals; analyze results quickly, discontinue ineffective initiatives, and scale successful ones.
  • Use quantitative analysis to diagnose funnel performance, segment cohorts, identify conversion or retention gaps, and translate insights into experiments and product improvements.
  • Shape monetization mechanics, including freemium experiences, credit economics, upgrade triggers, consumption models, pricing decisions, and product-qualified lead signals.
  • Build self-serve journeys that deliver value quickly while intelligently balancing user experience, conversion, expansion, sales engagement, and long-term customer value.
  • Partner closely with Engineering, Design, Analytics, Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success to execute growth initiatives and maintain alignment across the broader product-led growth strategy.
  • Develop and communicate compelling product narratives and recommendations for senior executives, using clear data and business cases to influence investment and prioritization decisions.
  • Establish reliable measurement frameworks and dashboards covering activation, consumption, retention, conversion, pipeline, expansion, and revenue outcomes.
  • Create documentation, retrospectives, experimentation standards, and operating practices that help the broader product organization compound its learning.
  • Mentor, coach, hire, and calibrate senior product managers, raising the quality of experimentation, ownership, strategic thinking, and execution across the growth organization.
  • Continuously evaluate emerging growth and distribution opportunities, including AI-first discovery, LLM-readable experiences, MCP-enabled channels, GEO/AEO, partner-led trials, and other evolving acquisition mechanisms.
Requirements
  • 8–12 years of product management experience, including at least 4 years specifically focused on growth, product-led growth, self-serve, monetization, or related product disciplines.
  • Demonstrated direct ownership of a growth loop or portfolio at meaningful business scale, with accountability for measurable revenue or P&L-related outcomes rather than individual feature delivery.
  • Proven experience presenting growth strategies, funnel performance, monetization decisions, or investment recommendations to senior executives, including CEO, CRO, CFO, or board-level stakeholders.
  • Track record of hiring, mentoring, coaching, or calibrating other product managers and establishing a high bar for product craft and execution.
  • Strong full-funnel growth expertise, including activation, time-to-value, retention, conversion, consumption, upgrade triggers, expansion, and PQL quality.
  • Deep understanding of portfolio and channel economics, with the ability to evaluate different acquisition and distribution mechanisms based on unit economics, decay, marginal returns, and compounding potential.
  • Strong experimentation discipline, with hands-on experience designing and interpreting A/B tests, multivariate tests, holdouts, pre/post analyses, and cohort-based experiments.
  • Advanced analytical capabilities, including strong SQL skills and the ability to independently work with data warehouses such as Snowflake without relying heavily on analysts.
  • Experience with consumption-based pricing, credit economics, freemium models, monetization mechanics, and product-qualified lead frameworks.
  • Strong B2B SaaS experience; exposure to data, go-to-market, sales technology, or related software markets is advantageous.
  • Hands-on product-building mindset, with the ability to work directly with engineers and designers, prototype experiences, write or refine product copy, and move ideas rapidly from concept to production.
  • Strong marketing fluency across areas such as SEO, paid acquisition, content, lifecycle marketing, and distribution.
  • Demonstrated understanding of emerging AI-driven discovery and distribution, including LLM-first discovery, agent-readable product experiences, MCP, GEO/AEO, or related concepts.
  • Excellent strategic communication skills, with the ability to translate complex product, funnel, and monetization decisions into compelling business narratives.
  • Strong ownership, curiosity, judgment, and comfort making decisions in ambiguous environments while continuously updating assumptions based on evidence.
  • A collaborative leadership style capable of influencing without formal authority and aligning technical, commercial, and executive stakeholders around measurable outcomes.
Benefits
  • Base salary range of $151,900–$238,700 USD.
  • Additional compensation may include bonus, commission, equity, and other benefits, depending on the position and individual circumstances.
  • Fully remote work environment.
  • Comprehensive benefits designed to support employees and their families.
  • Holistic mind, body, and lifestyle programs focused on overall well-being.
  • Opportunities for professional growth, development, and career advancement.
  • An environment that encourages innovation, experimentation, ownership, and rapid execution.
  • Opportunity to work on AI-first, product-led growth initiatives with significant business visibility and impact.
