Job Description
SEAL Analytical, a global manufacturer of automated wet chemistry laboratory instrumentation and robotics has an exciting opportunity to join its Technical Support team! Due to recent acquisitions and expansion, we are looking for a motivated, driven chemist who enjoys instrumentation and have a passion for traveling, to join us as a Technical Support Chemist. This individual will provide technical support to our customers and perform onsite instrument installation and trainings throughout the US with possible international travel.
SEAL Analytical has sites in the US, UK, Germany, Netherlands and China. The SEAL US headquarters has purpose-built laboratories and is located in Mequon near Milwaukee, WI. www.seal-analytical.com.
Responsibilities include:
- On-site & virtual installations and trainings at laboratories around the US
- Telephone and email troubleshooting for customers
- Assist in development of analytical methods
- Instrument and software testing
- Create customer describing procedures for efficient and effective use of instrumentation
- Special projects related to customer needs
- Advise customers on instrumentation and methods
- Perform diagnostics on in-house instruments
- Instrument maintenance
- Assist technical sales with Instrument/software demonstrations
- Assist with sales and marketing strategies
- Attend conferences, exhibitions and demonstrations as required

Requirements:- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Chemistry or closely related field
- Ideally have experience in water/wastewater laboratory
- Good analytical chemistry laboratory skills
- Ideally familiar with analyses techniques such as BOD, COD, Metals, Colorimetric Inorganic nutrient analysis
- Ideally have worked with discrete, flow analyzers (FIA, SFA) and/or BOD robotics
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment as a part of a team to accomplish common goals
- Ability to travel up to 50% of time (available for overnight week day travel, up to 3-4 nights per week). Majority of travel is within the US.
