Pay Range: $2,500 stipend upon completion

The above reflects the anticipated hourly wage range for this position if hired to work in New Jersey.

The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience.

The Center for Discovery, Innovation and Development (CDID) mentors and trains interns who are interested in creating positive, meaningful change for individuals with special needs. As a CDID Intern, you’ll gain valuable professional experience while contributing to social impact, community investment, research, and program initiatives that can directly improve the lives of children with special needs and their families.

As an Intern, a typical day might include the following:

  • Supporting research and data collection for new and existing social impact and community investment programs
  • Tracking and organizing program metrics and outcomes using Microsoft Excel
  • Supporting initiatives addressing social determinants of health, including food insecurity, behavioral health, and workforce readiness
  • Assisting with reports, presentations, and other materials to communicate program findings and impact
  • Collaborating with CDID team members and other stakeholders on projects and initiatives
  • Learning new skills and contributing ideas to projects that support individuals with special needs and their families
  • Taking on additional projects and responsibilities based on program needs

To be considered for this opportunity, you must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program and have an interest in enhancing the lives of individuals with special needs. Strong written communication skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, are required. Candidates must be able to multitask, quickly learn new skills, receive directions from multiple individuals, and maintain positive and professional relationships.
