Responsibilities
The Lead Respiratory Therapist provides advanced clinical expertise and shift-based leadership to ensure the safe, effective, and efficient delivery of respiratory care services. This role guides and supports respiratory therapy staff, coordinates daily operations, and promotes quality patient outcomes in accordance with regulatory and organizational standards. Performs other duties as assigned. All job responsibilities are to be carried out in alignment with Kettering Health's mission, vision, values, and B Safe program.Associate degree in Respiratory Therapy from an accredited program recognized by the State Medical Board of Ohio.Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist, including experience in acute care settings.Current license as a Respiratory Care Professional in the State of Ohio. Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC). Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications, or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy or related health science field.Prior experience in a lead, charge, or supervisory respiratory therapy role.
