Job Description
Job Summary
Facilitates the safe, timely, and comfortable transition of discharged patients awaiting transportation to the Discharge (DC) Lounge.
Skills
1. Possesses effective oral and written communication skills.
2. Possesses effective interpersonal relationship skills.
3. Technically competent in tasks within the scope of practice of nursing assistant.
4. Ability to read and comprehend English at a level necessary to follow written and oral instructions and safety precautions.
5. Frequent walking, pushing, pulling, stooping, and reaching.
6. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
Work Experience
One year of experience as a Nursing Assistant is preferred.
License/Registration/Certification
Current Texas Certified Nursing Assistant is required.
Current CPR training is required.
Education and Training
High school diploma or equivalent is required.
Completion of one of the following:
1. Formal Nursing Assistant, Medical Assistant or equivalent training program; or
2. Fundamental Nursing Registered Nurse training program; or
3. Graduate from an international Registered Nurse equivalent program.
