This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Patient Services Operational Strategist based in the United States.
As a Patient Services Operational Strategist, you will drive measurable improvements across patient financial interactions and service operations.
You will help strengthen quality, analytics, governance, and operational performance across caregiver-led and AI-enabled channels.
The role combines strategic thinking with hands-on solution development, using data and feedback to identify opportunities and emerging risks.
You will design scalable frameworks, playbooks, knowledge resources, and performance insights that enable consistent execution.
You will also contribute to the development and optimization of AI and knowledge-assistance capabilities supporting caregivers and patients.
Working with significant autonomy, you will collaborate across operations, technology, analytics, compliance, and other functions.
As a senior individual contributor, you will influence strategic decisions and help build sustainable improvements across patient services.
Establish, govern, and continuously improve quality and analytics capabilities that define operational standards, measure outcomes, and identify risks and improvement opportunities.
Analyze operational data, caregiver feedback, and emerging technologies to identify opportunities for measurable improvements in quality, performance, scalability, and patient financial interactions.
Translate strategic priorities into practical requirements, measurable outcomes, risk controls, readiness plans, and sustainable operating routines.
Lead the design, implementation, and ongoing optimization of knowledge-assistance capabilities supporting caregivers and AI-enabled service channels.
Develop scalable frameworks, standards, playbooks, knowledge resources, operating routines, dashboards, and quality programs that promote consistent execution.
Coordinate cross-functional initiatives involving operational teams, technology, analytics, compliance, privacy, security, legal, patient experience, and external partners.
Support the testing, readiness, monitoring, escalation, and continuous optimization of patient-facing and caregiver-facing digital or AI-enabled solutions.
Establish performance measures and analytical approaches that support root-cause analysis, operational decision-making, KPI tracking, and ROI evaluation.
Identify emerging operational, technology, quality, and compliance risks and help establish appropriate controls and escalation processes.
Build strong relationships across functions and lead initiatives through influence rather than direct authority.
Use performance insights and structured reviews to continuously improve patient service operations and sustain measurable business outcomes.
Bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Finance, Revenue Cycle, Data Analytics, Information Systems, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and progressively responsible experience.
At least 5 years of experience in revenue cycle, contact center operations, healthcare operations, operational strategy, solution delivery, quality, knowledge management, automation, analytics, or a related field.
Demonstrated experience coordinating complex, cross-functional initiatives involving operational and technology teams as well as functions such as analytics, compliance, privacy, security, legal, patient experience, or vendor management.
Experience developing or applying operational standards, quality frameworks, knowledge resources, training materials, dashboards, playbooks, or structured process improvements.
Ability to convert operational strategy into clear requirements, measurable outcomes, risk controls, caregiver-readiness plans, and sustainable execution processes.
Strong analytical, consultative, written, verbal, facilitation, and presentation skills.
Ability to influence stakeholders and drive alignment without relying on direct authority.
A Master's degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Finance, Analytics, Information Systems, Organizational Leadership, or a related field is a plus.
7+ years of progressive experience in revenue cycle, healthcare contact center operations, AI-enabled operations, automation, analytics, quality, governance, solution delivery, or enterprise transformation is preferred.
Experience with patient-facing or caregiver-facing AI, virtual agents, IVR, RPA, Copilot, knowledge assistants, or digital self-service solutions is advantageous.
Familiarity with AI knowledge bases, enterprise knowledge assets, RAG-ready content, controlled source hierarchies, quality scorecards, defect taxonomies, or interaction-review programs is a plus.
Knowledge of responsible AI practices, lifecycle governance, risk tiering, human-in-the-loop controls, interaction monitoring, auditability, incident escalation, and vendor accountability is beneficial.
Familiarity with Epic Revenue Cycle workflows, patient financial engagement, financial assistance, self-pay collections, contact center routing, MyChart messaging, or patient account-resolution processes is preferred.
Experience with SQL, Power BI, operational dashboards, journey analytics, root-cause analysis, performance reporting, KPI/ROI measurement, or decision-support models is an advantage.
