Job Description
Job Summary:
This position performs under the direction of the Clinical Director of Pine Grove’s Professional Enhancement Program. Participates in treatment team meetings and functions as a member of the interdisciplinary treatment team. Participates in orientation, treatment and aftercare/discharge planning. Assists therapists with documentation necessary for patient care. Conducts clinical assessments (e.g., biopsychosocials). Assists with making appropriate referrals (e.g., scheduling aftercare appointments). Assists with collateral communication to family and referral sources. Participates in direct patient care. Completes drug screens and vitals. Assists with searches of patient belongings, vehicles and living space. Oversees insurance review schedule and sends timely reminders to therapists. Provides community education services as needed. Assists with ensuring treatment areas are clean. Maintains an orderly work area. Maintains confidentiality. Completes associated administrative/clerical tasks. Other duties and tasks may be assigned on an as-needed basis.

- Demonstrate the ability to collaborate clinically with staff within various roles at PEP, Pine Grove and Forrest General.
- Demonstrate the willingness and ability to actively participate in helping achieve the objectives of the department; able to work independently as well as with a team.
- Demonstrate the ability to complete a clinical interview and review information with patients and treatment team.
- Demonstrated the ability to complete all required training and/or certifications and attend all required meetings.
- Demonstrate the ability to be flexible with changing priorities; able to tolerate high stress situations/mental demands and make decisions that are ethically and legally sound.
- Demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served. Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development and possesses the ability to assess data reflective of the patient’s status. Interprets the appropriate information needed to identify each patient’s requirements relative to his/her age and specific needs and to provide the care needed.
Qualifications:
Education/Skills:
A Bachelor's Degree in social sciences area is required.
Work Experience:
Two years’ experience in a health-related field is required.
Certification/Licensure-DUE UPON HIRE
Valid Driver's License and good Standing Driving Record
Additional Certification/Licensure - Obtained based on the required timeframe below:
- Basic Life Support
